I am late getting this out, but better late than never right? I just wanted to pass along a MILLION thanks to you and your entire team. Our wedding reception was amazing thanks to you and your team. The food was so, so, so delicious! As I was eating, I had a devilish thought.......the food is at my wedding is soooo much better than any wedding I've been too! As far as I know everything went flawlessly! Everyone that was there did a phenomenal job!

I will highly recommend Grey Gables to any and everyone! If a potential customer ever wants to talk to a past customer, don't hesitate to send them my name and number.

Everything was a complete success, from the Castle’s to the food and beverages. We (you) have gotten tons of compliments on the food and staff. Everyone was delighted. One of the guest I spoke to just this morning commented on rumors he had heard. People questioned the trip all the way the Charlevoix. After the fact it was simple replies….”well worth the trip”. The same goes for the rehearsal dinner. I got nothing but compliments from all. The food was great.

I sincerely appreciate all you and your staff has one for the Downing’s and us to make this a memorable and successful night. You and your crew will be highly recommended if the opportunity arises.

On Saturday, May 7th 2005, we had the great fortune of recommending that my son and daughter-in-law have their "special" dinner at the Grey Gables Inn. How lucky we all were in making that suggestion! My son, who is serving with the 20th ENG BDE, Airborne, on the outskirts of Baghdad, Iraq, is currently on leave spending time here in Petoskey with his mother and I. and more importantly, with his wife and daughter. Part of that leave was to have a certain amount of time for just the two of them, reconnecting and just being together after his absence of 6 months over there, and preparing for the next 6 months that he will have to be there to finish his commitment. So, we suggested that for a special place to go, somewhere that his Mom and Dad have gone for special occasions and would recommend, would be your restaurant. And so they went. She primped and preened. He was just happy not to be wearing cammies! Into your place they came. From the moment they walked in the door and were greeted, they knew that it was special! They were so excited when they came home to tell us first about the great food and atmosphere, but then just giddy when telling us that the bill had been "taken care of". I can't begin to tell you how much that whole event meant to us, as parents. We want so much to be able to make special times for our children, and more so when the time spent with them is more precious knowing where he will be going again. But to see their happiness,, and just to feel the aura around them when they came home, is hard to explain. They enjoyed themselves so much. We sincerely appreciate you kindness and support, not only of our son and daughter-in-law, but your commitment to your community shows through by your actions toward someone you don't even know, but went out of your way to be kind to. We are so grateful to you and your staff for making a very special night and even greater special night.

I had a number of guests tell me they either went back to the catering area to give compliments to the chef themselves or ask me to give them to you, so thank you very much again!

You and the staff were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, especially considering our quick turnaround having had our original caterer go out of business 2 months before the wedding! Both the wait and bar staff was incredible!
